Western Railway rolls out revised Mumbai local train timetable

Western Railway introduced a revised timetable for Mumbai local trains on September 1, 2026, adding six suburban services and adjusting existing operations across the network. The changes include two new Up services and four new Down services.

The timetable also withdraws six existing services, keeping the total number of suburban services at 1,414. The number of AC suburban services has increased from 145 to 147 under the revised schedule.

Several routes have been extended as part of the changes. At the same time, certain AC and fast trains will now skip Borivali station. The revised stopping pattern means commuters using these services will need to check whether their train halts at Borivali before travelling.
