Juspay positions itself as a payments infrastructure and orchestration provider for large enterprises and banks. In its statement, the company highlighted its decade-long focus on core payments engineering, and said the fresh capital strengthens its ability to solve complex payments challenges at scale. The firm also indicated that the round reflects its growth trajectory and creates liquidity opportunities for its early investors and team members.

The company counts large internet platforms, ecommerce firms, airlines and financial institutions among its clients. Juspay said it processes hundreds of millions of transactions daily and handles a very large annualised total payment volume, underscoring how critical “pipes and plumbing” providers have become in India’s fast-growing digital payments ecosystem.

In recent years, the payments stack has expanded beyond basic gateway services, with enterprises seeking orchestration, routing, reliability tools, fraud controls and compliance features across cards, UPI and netbanking. Juspay has also expanded beyond its initial orchestration business into areas such as UPI-linked and core-banking-linked payment infrastructure, operating largely as a backend technology partner rather than a consumer brand. The new funding is expected to support scaling, product depth and global ambitions, while also giving the startup more strategic room in a competitive fintech landscape.
