Order announced after CM’s Republic Day address

The holiday announcement followed the Chief Minister’s address during Republic Day functions, after which officials communicated the decision to schools and district authorities. Education department instructions asked institutions to follow the order without exceptions.

In its communication, the government reiterated that the closure is uniform across categories of schools. Parents were advised to note the change in schedule, especially since January 26 is already a public holiday in India, creating a longer break for many families.
